********************************************************************* FMBoss Version 2.0 Beta May 28, 1996 Developed by: Jeff Lawrence E-Mail: jeff@jagunet.com Web: www.mersci.com/~jeff/fmboss.html ********************************************************************* Thank you for registering FMBoss! FMBoss 2.0 has many new features over the intial 1.0 release. These include: *IMPORTANT: Make sure you use the new radio.ini file supplied with Version 2.0!!! Your system will crash if you don't. *Tray Option - Applicable for Windows 95 and NT 4.0 Beta users only. FMBoss can be run in the system tray. Left-clicking cycles power as well as the tray icon color. A Green icon indicates power is on and a red icon indicates power off. Right clicking the tray icon activates a pop-up menu which contains most all the FMBoss related functions. *Options Dialog - The options dialog allows the user to enter descriptions of each preset station such as the call sign and the option to display this info in the Title bar. Additionally, the user can turn "button beeps" on/off, specify the preset scan rate in minutes or seconds and the cards Base I/O address. *Freq window click - Clicking on the frequency display automatically launches the "Jump to" dialog allowing the user to specify a radio station to jump to. *NT Users: FMBoss will run only on NT3.51 and NT4.0 Beta as the interface uses tool-tips which are not supported under 3.5. If you are running NT 3.5, contact me and I can put together an executable that does not use the tool-tips. *Installation: This is the same as described in the install.txt file, except you MUST use the new radio.ini file supplied with Version 2.0!! The features won't stop here as I will continue to incorporate new features as time permits. Future releases will be emailed to you automatically. I would appreciate any bugs be reported as soon as possible so I can fix them. I have tried to make a "perfect" application but those bugs always seem to crop up now and then. Bug reports can be sent to jeff@jagunet.com directly or using the Bug report form found on the FMBoss web site: http://www.mersci.com/~jeff/fmboss.html FMBoss updates and latest information can be found on the FMBoss web site, http://www.mersci.com/~jeff/fmboss.html Jeff (jeff@jagunet.com)
